Mandarin Courses in Montreal and Online
We offer dynamic Mandarin courses where you will explore China’s rich and unique cultural heritage through music, cinema, food, and more. The 6 levels of Mandarin will help you reach your goals quickly and build confidence after learning basic grammar, pinyin, and Chinese characters, all in a way that is adapted to your interests and needs.
How does registration for a Mandarin course work?
- Create an account on our online platform (a Gmail account is required).
- Take the oral and written test. It’s free!
- Get the results of your test within 72 hours.
- Finalize your registration.
Placement Test
All future language school students must take a placement test, except for:
- Students who have no knowledge of the language they wish to learn.
- Current students of the YMCA International Language School or former students who studied at the YMCA International Language School in the last 6 months.

Mandarin Courses
Every level of the Mandarin conversation and grammar courses focuses on teaching four key skills in an interactive manner: oral and written comprehension and oral and written communication.
1 class per week | From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (ET)
- 2 levels :
- Level 1 | Monday
- Level 2 | Wednesday
- 21 hours of classes per session | 7 weeks

Evening courses – Online
Mandarin Courses

Monday and Wednesday
- 2 classes per week (ET)
- 1 level:
- Level 3: From 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday
- 2 classes per week (ET)
- 2 levels:
- Level 1 : From 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Level 2 : From 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
- 21 hours of classes per session | 7 weeks
